The greenery and open landscape and public spaces invite you to move, to think and to play. In this way, all users of the area are stimulated on a daily basis to get the best out of themselves, both physically and mentally.
To give the area its design character, there are elements that breathe design everywhere in the area. These elements give Amstel Discovery District identity and provide a continuous form of inspiration for the users and visitors of the district. Whether modern design or design in relation to well-being, the whole area is full of hidden gems. The different places are decorated with elements that match the atmosphere of the specific place.
In order to develop this further, the design of the public space of Amstel Discovery District will be started in the subsequent phases. For this we enter into a collaboration with various artists. Future users also play a role. In order to load the district with this identity from the start, we will start with a pop-up design museum in the run-up phase.
Amstel Discovery District offers a wide range of options for parking, with 256 spots for cars and 2753 spots for bicycles. With open access from the Overamstel Metro Station and the water canal, its accessibility by all means of transport is guaranteed.
