80.000m2 of mixed-use space across six buildings that allow for continuous adaptation due to its modular design. Strategically located at the center of all of Amsterdam’s innovation infrastructure, Amstel Discovery District is your right choice.

A New Balance
Amstel Discovery District is a mixed-use district. A living & working community that aspires to become meaningful for the Amsterdam metropolis as a whole.
Well connected by public transportation, Amstel Discovery District aims to be truly open and bring together Creative Industry, ICT, tech, R&D, startups, scale-ups and established companies in a concentrated area, creating a vibrant ecosystem for innovation and discovery. By hosting various stakeholders, ADD+ acts as a multi functional innovation center that enables exchange, crosspollination, research and the translation of discovery into practical application. It’s also socially inclusive. A social housing corporation will build social and midrent apartments in the complex.
Amstel Discovery District is a flexible residential-work complex that adapts to the changing needs of the future, accounting for nature inclusivity, sustainability and circularity, both ecological and social, and due to its 4,2 m floor height. Future-changing insights about use can be implemented without major adjustments . By giving workers on ADD+ a preferred position in housing, mobility by car is minimized, aiming for a pandemic-proof 15-minute city.

The architectural concept by Mecanoo Architects was designed with the coordinated supervision of Ouder-Amstel’s municipality.

One of the key features of its suitability is the generous floor height of 4.2 meters, providing ample vertical space for advanced equipment, experimentation setups, and efficient workflow. This spacious layout allows for the installation of state-of-the-art equipment and all the necessary adjacent technologies and facilities, while ensuring comfortable working conditions.
